My husband loves Nutella. I think it runs through his veins. In an effort to make a new dessert for him and a group of my friends, I cam up with this recipe for turnovers. It's a light and flaky dessert but it doesn't stop anyone from having them for breakfast, too. I make my butter puff pastry on the weekends but during the week store bought is fine. Actually, my favourite store bought is by President's Choice. Give the recipe a try and let me know what Nirvana tastes like.

Ingredients:

2 cups mini marshmallows

Aprox. 2 cups Nutella (amount varies depending on your preference)

2 sheets puff pastry, cut into squares or triangles

3 tsps granulated sugar

1 egg + 1 tbs milk whisked to make egg wash

Directions:

Roll out your puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut pastry into squares or triangles at desired size. On half of each pastry piece, spread Nutella (aprox ½ rounded tsp) leaving a border for the edge. Fill with mini marshmallows, just a few (5-7).

Run some egg wash on edge of pastry squares and fold over. Crimp edges with a fork. Spread eggwash over top of turnovers. Sprinkle with a little bit of sugar.

Bake in oven 350 degrees 15-17 minutes until puffy and golden. Serve warm.
