Peanut Butter and Jelly... Makeup

I bet you thought this was another food post. NOPE! Too Faced went and combined two of my loves, makeup and food. I received this Peanut Butter and Jelly palette for Christmas and am only now cracking it open. When I took it out of this packaging I got a sweet smell, a mix of peanut butter and chocolate but I suppose it's supposed to represent jelly. There is cocoa powder in the formulas so I think the labeling of "jelly" is just to represent the colour story.

There are nine pans in this palette and most importantly, a giant mirror - all in this compact tin. They layout and pan sizes make it easy for you to mix and match shades and blend them to create tons of different looks.

Spread the Love, Bananas and Extra Creamy are 2 grams each, which is great for me as I use these shades for transition and highlights with EVERY look. My favourite is Bananas, it gives an amazing glow to my eyes, especially the inner corners, and seems to be universally flattering.

The remaining six are 0.9 grams each. The colours include: Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter Cup, Peanut Brittle, Jammin', Jelly and Nuts About U. For a nautral office day I use a lot of Peanut Butter and Peanut Brittle. At night I love to smoke out Jammin' and Peanut Butter Cup. For sparks of unexpected colour, I like to top my lids or line my lower lash line with Jelly and Nuts About U.

The palette comes with a little pamphlet to help you create looks but the colour story is very cohesive so you can mix and play with colours all you want. If you're looking for a starter palette for someone or an everyday palette, this is my recommendation for one to buy. It's so versatile and easy to travel with. You get high pigment colour payoff, a beautiful smell and blendable shades. I love it.

Me, with Bananas in the inner corners.
