Too Faced: Under the Christmas Tree

I avoided Too Faced for awhile following their controversies with influencers and general lack of interest in a lot of their products. However, I have always enjoyed their Better Than Sex Mascara. This year my interest was peaked when I did more digging into the company and when I saw their Under the Christmas Tree palette. I am happy to report that Too Faced is a cruelty-free brand, which means they do not test on animals and they do not sell in foreign markets that require animal testing. A lot of their cosmetics are vegan or cruelty-free and all of their brushes are as well. Why not all? They are owned by Estee Lauder, which does test on animals in some instances.

For Christmas I received the Under the Christmas Tree palette and I have to say, I LOVE IT! I had seen it in Sephora and swatched it before. The colours were great and they blend like a dream for me (which is great with my hooded eyes). The colours all go together so it's easy for me to create a full look PLUS it's all the colours I need. The face palette comes with a blush, bronzer and highlight. The other two palettes have 18 matte and shimmer shadows. Here's a breakdown of the palette, with swatches.

This post is just so you can get an idea of what Too Faced products look like and how they swatch. Whether or not you choose to purchase this brand is totally up to you, I'm not here to sway you in either direction.

The swatches may seem chalky but I promise you, they blend so nicely. The glitters are my favourite though, you don't need a glitter glue, just your regular primer and they'll stay on your eyes all day.
