Rosé All Day

The last two weeks were some of the hottest on record in Toronto. The air was muggy and it felt like you were walking on the sun. In an effort to keep cool but enjoy our friends without the luxury of a pool, I decided to a BBQ in the blazing heat was a good idea.

I make the worst decisions sometimes.

New loves

On a trek to Wine Rack I discovered two new wines that are perfect for the summer. Cabana Shore came out with a few new flavours of wine, I snapped up the Strawberry Rosé and Peach Pinot Grigio. They come in your standard 750 mL bottles and they’re wallet-friendly at only $8.00 a bottle. Naturally, I bought four bottles.

The Strawberry Rosé was instantly delicious. You immediately get the taste of strawberry and although you get a hint of alcohol, it’s subtle so you’re not smacked with an aftertaste. It’s aromatic and goes down like punch which is insanely dangerous but amazing.

The Peach Pinot Grigio tastes more like a typical white wine but it’s fresher, lighter and has the slightest tang of peach. It has the slightest citrus taste to it. The fruit flavour is a lot more subtle but scrumptious and refreshing.

The lineup

If you’re reaching for something new besides fan-favourite moscato: THIS IS IT. Chilled and delicious, it’s a perfect party drink and a new summer favourite in our house!

My view right now

**PLEASE enjoy all alcoholic beverages responsibly and carefully.**
